Summary edit
DescriptionRagwort near Manor House Troutsdale - geograph.org.uk - 215624.jpg |
English: Ragwort near Manor House Troutsdale. Ragwort is all too common in this area.
In this instance it is massed around a fallen Ash tree making it difficult to cut. The plant is quite pretty but smells revolting. it is extremely toxic especially to horses, but in hay the toxins are concentrated enough to cause liver damage in most animals. It is even hazardous to pull up by hand in any quantity without gloves. |
