Summary
editDescriptionRailway Station, Leeds - geograph.org.uk - 655779.jpg |
English: Railway Station, Leeds. A British Leyland Class 141004 is one of 20 built, mainly from bus parts, in 1984. The twin axle coaches were an uncomfortable ride in my experience. After modification by Hunslet-Barclay in 1988-89 they were renumbered from 141001-141020 to 141101-141121. The units operated mostly out of Leeds, being based in West Yorkshire. Many were later sold to Iran and four remained in preservation.
Nearby is Class 08590 and a General Utilities Van. The unit is standing in the same position as the one in this shot by Dr Neil Clifton. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/632397 I chose to use a telephoto lens and shoot from some distance. Since this shot, Leeds has received overhead electrification. |
