| Description |
English: Railway bridge remains Railway stonework is very distinctive, and the bottom two or three feet of bridge abutments is often all that is left, as here at the site of Mitcheldean Road station. Most people would drive past this without a second thought, but it positively shouts "dismantled railway" to we old railway people. A shot of the same subject taken in better light, which also includes the old station master's house which still survives here, can be seen in Des Blenkinsopp's SO6521 : House on the Line. |
