Description
English: Railway cutting, west of Savernake Until 1961 what was once the Midland and South Western Railway ran through here on its way south to Andover. The railway started life as the Swindon, Marlborough and Andover Railway before an extension to Cheltenham created the need for a name change. In 1923 it was subsumed into the Great Western Railway.
