| Description |
English: Railway line near Teffont Evias. This is the double track railway line between Salisbury to Yeovil heading west viewed from a level crossing, see 900623. Although this line is now part of the London-Salisbury-Exeter inter-city route, there was an actual Salisbury to Yeovil Railway which opened in June 1860. In the 1930s this route was the racing ground for LSWR (London South Western Railway) expresses including the Atlantic Coast Express and the Devon Belle. |
