English: Railway remains. The old-fashioned telegraph pole was an integral part of the old-fashioned railway and has virtually completely disappeared. This example is next to the former Colwick Yards. It is interesting in that it carries cross-arms from which branch circuits would have diverged at right angles to the main lines. |
