Railway track at Blata l-Bajda, Hamrun

Summary edit

Description
English: Railway track at Blata l-Bajda, Hamrun. Due to the tram in the picture we can determine that this photo was taken between 1905-1929. The farmhouses were replaced by showrooms and petrol stations. In the background we can see Porte des Bombes, Sarria Church, St Publius Church and the Capuchin convent. The farmhouse to the centreleft is a marble workshop and belonged to the family of Francesco Buhagiar, Malta' s second prime minister. There is also a matchbox type bus just outside Portes Des Bombes so the pic is most probably post World War I to 1929.
