This is the former Southern Pacific railyard in Southeast Portland. It was acquired and is still operated by the Union Pacific following the 1996 merger of the two companies. This view was taken from the SE Holgate Boulevard overpass. The remainder of the old Southern Pacific roundhouse can be seen in the distant left of the photo.
