English: Raised footprints on Cairn Lochain I found these one fine spring day. They are footsteps raised above the current snow level. This happens when someone walks across deep, soft, snow, partially compacting it. Then the wind blows away the loose, uncompacted snow from around about, leaving these raised footprints, which in this instance were about 1ft high. |
