Description Sculptural relief 1868 by Edward Bowring Stephens of "The Raising of the Widow's Son", (Luke 7:12-15) north wall of chancel, All Saints Church, Kenton, Devon. (Cherry & Pevsner, Buildings of England, 2004, p.517) Probably erected by William Courtenay, 11th Earl of Devon (1807-1888) in memory of his wife Elizabeth Fortescue (d.1867). Arms in spandrels: left: Courtenay impaling Fortescue; right: Courtenay impaling Argent, on a bend azure three buckles or (Leslie, Earls of Rothes (family of 11th Earl's maternal grand-mother))
