Description
English: The Rajarani temple, also called as the Indresvara Siva temple, is a sculptural marvel of the 11th Century AD.

The temple is built in a Pancharatha plan with a wavy superstructure rising to a height of 18 meters. The temple was constructed with light red and yellow sandstone and stands on a super-raised platform. The sandstones are locally called rajaraniya which may be one of the reasons for its name. The temple has Panchanga bada or five divisions. The notable part among them is the pabhaga (leg portion) that has five distinctive decorative moldings.

You can find great similarities between Rajarani temple and the temples built at Khajuraho. Nevertheless, the Rajarani temple is one of its kind that is built in this region.
