English: For a liquid mixture of two components A and B the partial pressures p_A and p_B in the vapour space above the liquid are shown in dependence of the composition of the mixture. The composition varies along the x-axis (left: pure A, right: pure B). The vapour pressure of the pure component A is p*_A, the vapour pressure of the pure component B is p*_B. Raoult's law (black lines) describes the idealized case where the partial vapour pressures depend linearly on the composition, with the constants of proportionality determined by the vapour pressures of the pure substances. Henry's law also states a linear dependence, but with a different constant of proportionality. The green lines show schematically the behavior of an unspecified real system which deviates to a certain extent from both laws.
Deutsch: Für eine aus zwei Komponenten A und B bestehende flüssige Mischung sind die im Dampfraum über der Flüssigkeit herrschenden Partialdrücke p_A und p_B in Abhängigkeit von der Zusammensetzung der Mischung aufgetragen. Die Zusammensetzung variiert entlang der x-Achse (links reines A, rechts reines B). Der Dampfdruck der reinen Komponente A beträgt p*_A, der Dampfdruck der reinen Komponente B beträgt p*_B. Das Raoult'sche Gesetz (schwarz) beschreibt den idealisierten Fall, dass die Partialdrücke linear von der Zusammensetzung abhängen, wobei die Proportionalitätskonstanten von den Dampfdrücken der reinen Substanzen bestimmt werden. Das Henry'sche Gesetz (orange) beschreibt ebenfalls eine lineare Abhängigkeit, aber mit einer anderen Proportionalitätskonstanten. Die grünen Linien zeigen schematisch das Verhalten eines nicht näher spezifizierten realen Systems, dessen Drücke in gewissem Umfang von beiden Gesetzen abweichen. |
