English: The rape of Persephone: Hades (on the right) leaves his chariot driven by a winged Erinye; Persephone (unseen here) tries to escape. Side B of a loutrophoros made of fired and painted clay in Apulia (Magna Graecia), by the red-figure technique, between 330 and 320 BC approx.
