Die Blue Boy Bar war ein traditionsreiches Berliner Stricherlokal, in dem das Angebot oft deutlich die Nachfrage überstieg. Eigentlich eine Bar, in die man nicht ging, aber dennoch war es auch irgendwie ein Ort des „Zuhauseseins“. Das lag sicherlich ganz stark an Hans, dem Inhaber der Bar, der wie ein guter Wachhund auf einen achtete sowie an Oliver und seinem Tresenteam. Ich kenne eigentlich fast niemanden, der nicht schon einmal in der Blue Boy Bar war. Die Bar musste man erlebt haben, ob man wollte oder nicht.^[1]

Nach Blue Boy hieß die Bar einige Jahre Toy Boy. Nun erscheint die Location im neuen Gewandt mit neuem Namen "Rastlos". Ein on-line Bewertungsportal berichtet…

Google-Nutzer haben dieser Bar keine hohe Bewertung gegeben.^[2]

Nun, wenn das mal keine Empfehlung ist!?

The Blue Boy Bar was a Berlin hustler bar that went way back in which the supply often clearly exceeded the demand. Actually a bar you didn't go to, but that was somehow "home". That was certainly very much due to Hans, the owner of the bar, who looked out for you like a good watchdog, and to Oliver and his bar team. I don't know anyone who didn't visit the Blue Boy Bar at least once. You had to have experienced the bar whether you wanted to or not.^[3]

After Blue Boy closed, the bar went by the name of Toy Boy for a few years. Now the location reappears with a small make-over, and a new name "Rastlos". One online rating portal reports…

Google users have not given this bar a high rating.^[4]

Liebe Gäste!

Wie Ihr sicherlich bereits erfahren oder bemerkt habt, ist die langjährige Berliner Institution “Blue Boy Bar” seit 31.12.2019 geschlossen. Wir haben nach der Kündigung durch den Hausverwalter im Jahr 2015 im alten Objekt in der Eisenacher Straße nach anstrengender Suche eine neue Heimat am Standort Kleiststrasse gefunden und uns auf viele weitere schöne Jahre mit Euch gefreut. Diese waren uns leider nicht vergönnt. Auch hier wurden wir durch den Hausverwalter gekündigt. Nun haben in diesem Fall persönliche Umstände des Inhabers und Betreibers, sowie die nicht absehbare Entwicklung auf dem Schöneberger Kiez, dazu geführt, ( zumindest vorerst ) nicht erneut nach einem Ausweichquartier Ausschau zu halten. Sollten sich diesbezüglich die Dinge etwas bewegen und somit Neuigkeiten von Belang zu verkünden sein, werde ich dies umgehend auf dieser Seite bzw. der Seite www.blueboy-Berlin.de tun!

Die oben angeführte Web-Seite der Bar ist mittlerweile geschlossen, der Inhaber und Betreiber, Hansi, von vielen Oma genannt, verstarb im alter von 80 Jahren circa ein Jahr nach der Schließung des Lokals.

Dear guests!

As you have probably already seen and heard, the long-standing Berlin institution “Blue Boy Bar” has been closed since December 31, 2019. Following the termination by the property manager at the old location on Eisenacher Strasse in 2015, we had finally after a strenuous search found a new home on Kleiststrasse, where we looked forward to many more happy years with you. Unfortunately, we were not granted these. Here, too, we were terminated by the property manager. Due to the personal circumstances of the owner / operator, as well as to unforeseeable developments in the Schöneberg neighborhood, we have decided (at least for the time being) not to look for a new quarters. Should there be changes in this regard or news to report, I will do so immediately on this page or the page www.blueboy-Berlin.de!

The bar's web-site listed above has since been closed. The owner / operator, Hansi, called Oma (Grandma) by many, passed away at the age of 80 a little more than a year after the bar was closed.
