- Gérôme Castell (geb.: 1961 in Berlin) – seit der 1980er Jahre Travestie/Drag-Performer*in, gründete 1992 die Modetruppe Beauties of Berlin, Auftritte unter anderem im Berliner Schiller Theater, im Deutschen Theater, Berlin, und in der Berliner Ufa-Fabrik, in Film und Fernsehen, Organisator*in Satire-Competition unter TransFluids, die T’oscar-Verleihung (2001) bei dem der "T"-Oscar, der Transen-Oscar [sic] verliehen wurde, mit regelmäßigen Performances und Lesungen im Berliner Cabaret Rauschgold auch zum Thema Erfahrungen mit anti-queerer/trans*-feindlicher Gewalt.[2]

∗ The German vernacular term "Transe, die; pl. Transen" (noun, feminine) has become widely perceived among trans* people and trans* activists as pejorative, analogous to the English vernacular term "tranny".
