Summary

Description
English: Rawcliffe Moss. This large area north of the River Wyre is known as 'the moss', or more specifically as "Over Wyre". The network of small roads in the area are called the 'moss roads' and, due to a very unstable base, are amongst the worst public roads in the country. They stand at least 6ft proud of the farmland on either side, and their rutted and distorted surface makes 30mph an absolute maximum for safe progress, even on the straight bits!
