English: A GWR 'Castle' in its final form on lowly duties at Reading. View eastward, towards London, from the Down main Paddington - West of England platform; ex-GWR main line. With many expresses in 1962 taken over by diesels, Collett 'Castle' 4-6-0 No. 4074 'Caldicot Castle' is standing on the middle road at Reading, reduced to Station Pilot duties after spending most of its life (built 1/24) on principal expresses; it had acquired a double-chimney only very recently. |
