Summary
editDescriptionReading Viaduct - FGW 180102 up train.JPG |
English: First Great Western 'Adelante' unit 180102 descends Reading Viaduct towards the town's railway station. The newly-opened viaduct carries the main line towards Didcot over connections to the slower relief lines which can be seen to their right. The space between them will eventually host a new track beneath the viaduct for trains heading to the south and west which currently use the curve to the left of the viaduct. The two tracks in the left foreground serve bay platforms; the track in the right foreground is the line from the down main platform which is used for trains running through from London to Newbury and the south west. |
