Summary edit
DescriptionRecently Pollarded Holly - geograph.org.uk - 384676.jpg |
English: Recently Pollarded Holly Large amounts of holly in this area, most of it managed by pollarding, but some left to become tree-sized. Pollarding is like coppicing but at a higher level to reduce browsing of the regrowth (the New Forest Ponies will happily eat holly - they have very tough mouths). |
