Description
English: Operation Abilene, a search and destroy mission against the Vietcong by elements of the 2nd Brigade, 1st Infantry Division. The operation began 50km northeast of Saigon and extended about 71km southeast of Saigon near the village of Xa Binh Ga. A Vietcong prisoner is interrogated by 2LT Richard Sincarbeaux (Brooklyn, New York), 24th Psychological Operations Co, 3rd Corps. The tape will be played to the villagers asking them to turn over all Vietcong hiding in the village. NARA 111-CCV-441-CC34253
