Summary
editDescriptionRed Sands Maunsell Tower Restoration - geograph.org.uk - 180562.jpg |
English: Red Sands Maunsell Tower Restoration. Although these towers came under threat of demolition recently, being perceived as a hazard to the nearby busy shipping lane and also of unknown state of soundness, Project Redsand have recently hired Mowlem Marine to survey the forts and they were found to be in remarkably sound condition for their age and location. They are now beginning work on restoring one of the towers with a view of eventually bringing it (and possibly the others) back to the condition they were in when in use by the army. http://www.project-redsand.com/ |
