Description
English: Red andersite in bed of the River Breamish The underlying rock of the Cheviot Hills is volcanic andersite – an impervious granite that is pink in the ground but weathers to grey. The farm buildings of Low Bleakhope can be seen to the left of the trees in a sheltered spot where valleys meet including the steep Hareshaw Cleugh, behind the farm, which drains Cushat Law in the far distance.
