| Description |
English: Red door, red bus stop This house, with its convenient bus stop, is located on St John Street, south of its junction with Rosebery Avenue. The red bus stop flag indicates that this is a request stop; compulsory stops are marked by white flags. London Transport was always unusual in having a high proportion of 'compulsory' stops, which was no doubt sensible in the days of crew operated buses in busy areas; nowadays, however, many drivers simply ignore the compulsory stop requirement if they know there are no passengers requiring to board or alight. |
