English: Restam poucos remanescentes de floresta no Distrito de Rio Pardo, Porto Velho/RO criado a partir de assentamento ilegal dentro da Floresta Nacional do Bom Futuro, em 1999, que depois teve sua área reduzida em 2/3 pela Lei LEI Nº 12.249/2010, Art. 113. Remanescentes de floresta em verde escuro. Área urbana em salpicado laranja, no alto à dir. da imagem. Á esq. do Rio Branco, que corta a imagem na diagonal, fica a Reserva Extrativista Jaci-Paraná, que por Lei deveria ser destinado ao extrativismo e agricultura familiar, mas se encontra tomada por pecuária extensiva de baixa qualidade. Em laranja e magenta (rosa escuro) solo exposto, em verde claro pastagens / Few forest remnants are left at Porto Velho´s Rio Pardo District, created in 1999 by illegal development inside Bom Futuro National Forest, wich had its area reduced by 2/3 by "LEI Nº 12.249/2010", Art. 113. Forest remnants appear in dark green. At image top right, in orange saltpepper, urban area. Image is diagonally crossed Branco River, to its left is RESEX Jaci-Paraná reserve, wich by law should have only sustainable gathering and or family farming, but is mostly taken by low quality cattle raising. Exposed soil appears in orange and magenta (dark pink), pastures in light green.
