Summary

Description
English: The glaciers and landscape in northeast Greenland look different compared to other parts of Greenland. The light blue portions in the middle of the photograph are refrozen meltwater ponds seen from NASA's P-3B during an IceBridge survey flight on Apr. 19, 2013. During the summer, the ice surface will melt and form ponds of water that refreezes and is covered by snow during the winter months.
