Deutsch: Reichswettkämpfe der SA; Berlin 13.–15. Aug. 1937; Postkarte, Ansichtskarte, Künstlerpostkarte, Propgandakarte; Sturmabteilungen der NSDAP; Werner von Axster-Heudtlaß (1898–1949), Illustrator und Briefmarkenkünstler zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus.
SA-Sport war seit den Ursprüngen politisch begründet, jeder sportlichen Sinngebung entfremdet und von den anderen Strömungen des deutschen Sports ideologisch weit entfernt. Offizielle 'Bestimmungen und Richtlinien' der Obersten SA-Führung (OSAF) definierten den Zweck der Reichswettkämpfe, die erstmals 1937 als zentrales Sportfest durchgeführt wurden. In jährlichem Rhythmus wiederholte sich ein Massenspektakel, das durch sportliche Mannschaftsentscheidungen, eine propagandistische Heerschau und Wehrsport-Prüfungen charakterisiert war.
