Summary

Description
English: In the forecourt is a bronze statue by the Saarland sculptor Oswald Hiery from Wallerfangen-Ihn, which was unveiled in 1977 by the then Saarland Interior Minister 1977. In a realistic representation, his work shows two men dragging someone who has been fatally injured, symbolizing the helplessness of people in violent death. The helmet that one of the three naked wears is said to be a classic symbol of war, suggesting struggle and destruction, victory and defeat.
