Description
Català: Rellotge del mercat central d'Alacant. Actualment aturat i en desús, es diu que aquest rellotge va quedar parat definitivament a les 11:19 hores del dia 25 de maig de 1938, data del bombardeig que va causar més de 300 morts als voltants del mercat central. Diversos testimonis asseguren que l'ona expansiva de la segona onada d'avions va deteriorar el mecanisme, deixant aquest objecte com a testimoni mut i silenciós de la massacre. Per a ajustar la seua hora, s'ha utilitzat com a referència les dades trobades a la tomba del xiquet Lorenzo Sanz Valentí, vestigi fidel i viu d'aquella tragèdia.
