La Iglesia Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile es uno de los monumentos más notables de la Isla de Saint-Louis. Fue construida por el arquitecto François Le Vau en varias etapas a partir de 1624 hasta el año 1726. El patrono de la parroquia es San Luis de Francia, que reinó entre 1226 y 1270 con el nombre de Luís IX. El recinto interior de la iglesia, además de sus oficios también es utilizado para la realización de conciertos de música religiosa durante todo el año. El edificio se caracteriza por un campanario calado y un reloj atípico de hierro forjado de 1741. La iglesia Saint-Louis-en-l’Île fue declarada monumento histórico de Francia en el año 1915. |
