  • Dansk: Billedet kan, som foreslået af Karl Madsen, have tilhørt grev von Wassenaar Obdam, på hvis auktion i Haag 1750 et antal studiehoveder af Rembrandt solgtes (se Hoet/Terwesten, 1752-70, bd. 2, s. 290). Billedet kan være identisk med "Een Hooft van én Oud Man in profil, door Rembrandt", nr. 5, hvis mål svarer til oldingehovedets. På samme auktion kan KMS1635 også være opkøbt. Det svarer til katalogets nr. 6.

- Optræder første gang i Kunstkammerets inventar af 1737-75 tome II, nr. 317-318 sammen med KMS1635
