Abraham Lincolns outstandingability as a whistle.- was recentlypointed out by Mrs. Elizabeth Rayof Decatur, among little knownfacts in the life of the Great Eman-cipator which she learned as achild, when he was a neighbor toher father. Lincoln and Stephen Douglasonce slept in the same bed togetherin her fathers home, the 85-year-old Decatur resident recalled. Her father, Louis Harvey, movedto Cumberland county in 1854,where she was born that year. Justfour and one-half miles away wasthe home Lincoln had bought forhis father, Thomas Lincoln, and hisStepmother.
