| Description |
English: Site of former Reston station, East Coast Main Line 1997. View SE from main road bridge, towards Berwick-on-Tweed: ex-NBR Berwick - Edinburgh section of the ECML. There seems to be no trace of the station, which was c. 200 yards away and was closed 4/5/64 (goods 7/11/66), nor of the branch from Duns, Greenlaw and St Boswells which had curved in from Duns on the right until 7/11/66 - having succumbed west of Duns to the Borders Floods on 13/8/48. There seems to have been considerable change here, with new housing, since 1997 |
