Retablo devocional para la Virgen de Guadalupe ca. 1771-1780 Óleo sobre tela. Col. Particular Transcripción de ficha: "Esta arquitectura dentro de la pinturas, como subrayaba la investigadora Juana Gutiérrez Haces, refiere a las composiciones que buscan un efecto inmersivo en el espectador. Los pinceles anónimos han construido una estructura retabular de incursión neoclasicista que puede situar su factura hacia el último tercio del siglo XVIII y que reúne, en torno a la efigie guadalupana y a san José, patrono de Nueva España, una suerte de zodíaco constelar: los tres arcángeles-Miguel, Gabriel y Rafael- coronan el altar debajo de una Trinidad antropomórfica; flanquean a la Virgen, Joaquín y Ana, sus padres; seguidos de Juan Nepomuceno y Santiago apóstol, como símbolos del secreto de confesión del camino y devocional, respectivamente. Predela, entablamento y molduras de finas rocallas, otorgan solemnidad al conjunto." (Símbolo y Reino, 2023) |
