Na mesma reunião, o senador Eunício Oliveira (PMDB-CE) foi reconduzido, por unanimidade, ao cargo de líder do partido. Segundo os participantes da reunião, Renan teve confirmado o apoio de 15 dos 19 senadores que o partido terá na 55ª Legislatura.
