English: Arms of Rev. Thomas Hooper Morrison (1768-1824), of Yeo Vale in the parish of Alwington, Devon, son and heir of Rev. Hooper Morrison of Yeo Vale by his wife Charlotte Orchard (1735-1791), sister and in her issue heiress of Paul II Orchard (1739-1812) of Hartland Abbey, Devon. Arms: Quarterly of 4, 1& 4: Or, on a chief gules three chaplets of the first (Morrison, here shown with chaplets argent not or); 2&3: quarterly of 4: 1&4: Azure, a fess between three escallops argent (erroneous arms of Orchard, which should be: Azure, a chevron argent between three pears pendant or, as visible in Hartland Church[1], and quartered by the Stucley Baronets of Hartland Abbey); 2&3: Argent, a lion rampant gules on a chief of the last three plates (unknown) |
