| Description |
This was taken with a super-super macro lens (about 20x) so it's a lot smaller than it looks. I'd estimate it was about 7mm long. It kept coming back to the thistle I was trying to take uber-macro shots of, so I took a few shots of it as well. The insect is a Soldier Beetle, more specifically Rhagonycha fulva. The shots were taken in County Kerry, Ireland. |
