English: Rheilffyrdd wedi'u hailgysylltu - Railways reconnected On Saturday 28 February 2009 the final sections of track were laid at Porthmadog Harbour Station, connecting the Welsh Highland Railway to the Ffestiniog Railway, thus completing a ten-year restoration of the route from Caernarfon to Porthmadog.
The Welsh Highland track can be seen on the right as it approaches from the Pont Britannia road crossing. For more information see http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/north_west/7916058.stm |
