| Inscription | Emsfurt Die Stadt Rheine entstand an der Emsfurt. Von der rechten Emsseite erreichte der Weg hier das Emsufer. Auf einer Kalkschwelle gelangte der Verkehr auf die linke Emsseite und folgte weiter der heutigen Tiefen Straße. Spätestens 1362 ließ der Bau eines Wehres die Furt überfluten. Seitdem ersetzt die Nepomukbrücke die Furt. |
