Summary edit

Description On the Swiss side of the bridge you can see two small additions outside at the piers. These were used for the targeted detonation. In World War Two the bridge was integrated as an explosive object in the defense dispositive of the Swiss Army. In 1975, a concept of permanent explosive objects was realized named PSD75. During the Cold War, we had about 2,000 explosive objects in Switzerland. This dispositive was replaced and the old explosives removed from all objects till the end of last year. In the new generation of these destructible objects, the explosive is permanently installed and can not be removed without destroying or defacing. The blasting charge can be ignited only with a coded radio system. Switzerland, Feb 19, 2015. (4/6)
