Summary

Description
English: Rhosydd quarry. At Rhosydd, slate was quarried underground. Behind the building, the edge of one of the two major holes in the ground 60527 can be seen. The path (cf marker post) snakes refreshingly health-&-safety unaware through the middle of the quarry. The whole square is a high-level (500-600m) plateau between Moelwyn Mawr (SW), Moel yr Hydd (E), and Foel Ddu (NE) and is mostly rough grassland (boggy in E) and slate spoil.
