Collection Gilles Valiquette[1][2] 6 A 2007 copy of the Gretsch Country Gentleman used by George, who bought a Gretsch “Chet Atkins” Country Gentleman with “screw-down” mutes in 1963. After that guitar was destroyed during a car trip, George quickly replaced it with another one with faster “flip-up” mutes. The instrument displayed here is an exact replica of this second guitar. Gilles Valiquette Collection[1][2] 7 George bought a Rickenbacker 425 like this one in September 1963 while visiting his sister in the United States. He had it painted and modified to accommodate a second pickup. Note the extremely rare Rickenbacker metal nameplate on this 1959 model. Gilles Valiquette Collection[1][2] |
