Description
Deutsch: Rimbach (Odenwald), kath. St. Elisabeth-Kirche, ehemals Synagoge (1840–1938). Als Synagoge 1839–1840 erbaut und durch Rabbi Seckel Löb Wormser, bekannt als „Baal Schem von Michelstadt“ eingeweiht; 8. November 1938 Schändung des Gotteshauses und Zerstörung des Innenraumes; 20. März 1951 verkauft die Jewish-Restitution-Successor-Organisation Ins. zu New York die Synagoge für 4.450 DM an die Pfarrei Mörlenbach. Nach Restaurierung und Umbau am 23. August 1953 als Kirche St. Elisabeth geweiht durch Bischof Dr. Albert Stohr
