Português: Quando os africanos foram trazidos, séculos atrás, para Cuba para trabalhar nas plantações de açúcar, também trouxeram suas tradições culturais – incluindo sua música e instrumentos. Quando chegaram na ilha caribenha, abraçaram o ritmo da população indígena e a misturaram com sua própria batida africana. Agora, os jovens estão mantendo viva a música dos escravos a partir de criações próprias.
