English: River Arun: Pulborough Bridge Although the bridge is not ancient, dating from 1787, it is in the location where the Roman road of Stane Street crossed the River Arun. It is not usable by motor traffic anymore, having been replaced by 1502280 from which this photograph was taken. The Arun is still tidal at this point. |
