Description

The sun shone today, my wife had an appointment near the Friars' Bridge, so I took my camera and went for a wee walk across the Friars Bridge - the newest bridge to span the River Ness.

This is looking downstam towards the Waterloo Bridge (road bridge, known as the Black Bridge as it used to painted black) and to the (brown) replacement railway bridge beyond. In the distance can be seen the piers of the Kessock Bridge which carries the main A9 Great North Road over the Beauly/moray Firth.
