If you plan a vacation to Zion National Park, please add a half day to drive up to Kolob Canyon. It requires about an hour's drive up I-15 from the main part of the park, but it is very worthwhile. Some parts of it, I think, are prettier than the main canyon where most folks spend their time.

Here's another bonus: Because few people go there, you have this gorgeous scenery all to yourself most of the time.
