| Description |
English: Roadside Quarry An igneous intrusion being quarried for road metal. The greyish coloured rock is possibly of the dolerite family of dyke intrusions. The more pink coloured rock contains more felspar and is a baked fine grained felspathic sandstone. This is not so good as a road metal. The 'burn marks' seen on some of the loose rocks are evidence of contact metamorphism. |
