English: Robben Island Museum display ("OUT OF SIGHT: Lepers were isolated from society due to fears of possible contamination. Robben Island was considered an ideally isolated location. Lepers on Robben Island were also isolated from each other, separated by race and gender. In this photograph, female lepers enjoy a Christmas meal."). Photograph taken en-route from prison buildings to the harbour at the end of the Robben Island tour.
