Description
English: Robbinetts Arm, Nottingham Canal Robbinetts Arm originally connected a colliery on Trowell Moor to the Nottingham Canal. The colliery has long gone and the Nottingham Canal exists only as a local nature reserve, with no prospect of it ever being restored as a working waterway. However, the arm continues to serve a purpose because it allows a flow of water from Oldmoor Wood which keeps a stretch of the old canal wet, creating a valuable habitat for wildlife and aquatic plants.
