A ce titre, cette figure était destinée au seul Empereur de Chine. Au 19è siècle, cette règle n'a plus été appliquée aussi strictement ce qui explique sa présence sur cette robe de dignitaire présentée dans l'exposition "La pluie" au musée du quai Branly.
